Mission Statement
The Education Department’s mission is to create a positive learning environment that promotes educational and social development, healthy living and cultural awareness in order to sustain self-sufficiency and a productive community.
Education Department Components
The Education Department has been mandated by the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Tribal Council to insure the children of the Tribe are provided with the most comprehensive services possible. At the Tribal Education Department, we provide many programs and services to the Tribal Members, Tribal Entities, and the Tribal community. Education programs in place to provide services include:
- Early Childhood Program: Acorn Sprouts
- After School Program
- Summer School Program
- GED
- Continuing Education Program
- Scholarship – requires Committee Approval
- Extra-Curricular
- Computer Loan
- Library resources and materials
- Cultural Enrichment

Education Hours of Operation:
- Acorn Sprouts at the Learning Center: Monday – Friday 8am-12pm
- After School Program at the Learning Center: Monday – Friday 1:45pm – 6pm
- Blue House: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
